Fable II: A Must Have for any Xbox 360 Owner

The original Fable which was released on the Xbox in September 2004 became the number one selling action RPG. The sequel lives up to that title. Today, I bought the Limited Collectors edition. This version came with a 48 hour xbox live card, a dvd of bonus content, a pretty nifty outer sleeve for the actual game case, the game, and a card that allows you to get bonus in game content. The bonus ingame content includes a special area, a sword that you must get from that area, and *drums roll* ,to please all of you Halo fanatics out there, the have Master Cheif armor and an energy sword. Sadly you can't has recon, but you can be the Cheif. You can even get the title of Master Cheif from a town crier.
Now onto gameplay. The game plays pretty much like the old game. You have the simple one button attack system and the magic menu has been changed for the better. In addition to guns, swords, and bows, this time around you can have guns. They are quite effective, but not my taste. I would rather go aroun hacking and slashing until my thumb falls off. Another aspect of the game that has changed is that you have to choice of being a boy or a girl. Pretty cool I guess, but I don't know what effects your sex will have. A new addition to the game this time around is your dog. You can do many things with your dog. You can teach it tricks, it can attack, it can sniff treasure, show you hidden items to dig for, and they can make for some good entertainment. Finally there are many changes to the game this time around. You can get jobs to earn money, you can level up anywhere, you can interact with people even more, and you don't have as many of those long loading screens. Oh yeah, one more thing, main quests don't give you money. 10/10
Now on to visuals. The graphics are great for such a massive game, although they could be better. I haven't plugged my xbox into my nice HDTV system, but once I do, I am sure it will be epic. 9/10
Now onto story line. So far the story seems great. *****Semi Spoiler Alert****** You start off as a young boy, just like the last game. You are in Bowerstowne, where you live with your sister. A trader comes into town with an assortment of "magical goods." One of the people in the crowd tells you to buy the music box that the guy has. So, you go around the town getting some gold and you buy the box. When you turn the key on the box, it begins to glow and suddenly dissapears. Later that night, people from the castle come and take you to the castle. The lord who lives their end up killing you and your sister, because you are the "fourth" hero. You, the main character, are cast out of the window and land on the street. While you are "dead" the lady who told you to buy the box and takes you to the hero camp. ******Spoilers Done*****
That is the intro. I cant wait until i get farther in the game. 10/10
Overall, this game is a great improvement to its predecessor and is a game that any RPG player should have in their collection. Go buy it today, but remember, get the Limited Collectors edition. You can be teh cheif!!!! 9.5/10

Nice review. I'll put mine up tomorrow, even without the game.
